Drove to Portland yesterday with dad to go to Frys electronics :) Anyways it wasnt fun because anything above 45mph and I was getting a really bad steering wobble. It's been doing this for quite awhile but I rarely go above 45mph around my town, but after getting up to speed I knew I had to figure out this prob soon. First thing I did a few months ago was get a new driver side axle (reman so those are always iffy) since it wobbles under acceleration so that made me think inner cv joint.

Tires are brand new and rotated. Wheel bearings are tight doing the 3 and 9 wheel wiggle. Rack end bushing is good also as is checking for a loose subframe. All the balljoints feel tight also. Now my last idea was could it be differential bearings?

Ok so I just put the car up on jack stands and ran the car to 70mph and im getting the wobble that way also. Does that help diagnose anything

Bad tie rods (inner and outer)
Bent rim (if it still does it after rotating, then it isn't the wheels)
Warped rotors
Bad ball joints
Loose subframe bolts

Just did a driver side bearing since i felt a little play there. Swapped out another drivers side axle just to be sure, but im still getting the wobble under acceleration and at speed. Would a warped rotor show these symptoms, but not show any shimmy during braking? Because its good under any type of braking

Do you have hub centric rings for whatever wheels you have?

Do you still have the original steering rack? That was the source of my vibrations, which had the same symptoms as your car.

Wheels are balanced and the steering rack was a brand new one from honda about 10yrs ago. Rack end bushing in it has also been replaced and the pinion tension has been adjusted. I swear this car has the Y-49 curse somehow even tho its been white forever haha

Is your car lowered? if so, then may have excessive camber and that can put strain on the outboard shaft cups creating symptoms like you describe.

Car was aligned last year. Car is lowered, but it doesnt have extreme camber since i have a camber kit. Its about -2.0 on each side. Is it highly unlikely to be the differential bearings? Tranny has 182k miles on it. All i've ever replaced in the transmission is the input shaft bearing
