Hi everyone. My 89 Honda CRX Si cut off while at idle when I was at a red light. I had just driven 10 miles on the freeway without any problems. Fortunately, I was able to roll into a shopping complex and park my car. I checked the distributor/ignition rotor to see if it was loose due to the screw falling out - the rotor was loose but intact. So, I tried to rotate the rotor shaft so that I could position the rotor screw to be tighten (by putting car in 2nd gear and pushing/pulling car forward). To my surprise, the rotor didn't rotate at all! So, I took the valve cover off to check the timing belt - the timing belt is intact and fine.

My questions are: What would cause the rotor shaft not to turn? (Do I have a seized distributor shaft?). How can I go about fixing this in a DIY manner, if possible? Once again, thanks for all the help. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

Cracked cam.

Broken pin on the piece that connects to the cam.

Seized distributor bearing.
